Bar Brera and the Brera Academy of Fine Arts Together for “Baraonda”
Art at Bar Brera: “Baraonda” arrives, the digital exhibition by students of the Brera Academy of Fine Arts.
Milan, June 2025 – An iconic corner of Milan’s artistic scene opens its windows (and screens) to young art: from June 9 to 16, 2025, Bar Brera hosts “Baraonda”, a digital exhibition featuring images and details of works created by students of the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, with the opening on Monday, June 9 at 6:00 PM.
More than just an exhibition, Baraonda is a visual tribute to the everyday life that animates this symbolic place in the neighborhood: outdoor screens and an internal video projection will guide the audience through a constantly moving carousel of colors, shapes, and visions. An experimental and lightweight format, perfectly suited to the fluid spaces of the bar, which becomes an informal stage for student creativity. Visitors will be immersed in a selection of images that, through both wide perspectives and details, convey the energy and diversity of the students’ work.
For years a reference point for those who study and work at the Academy, Bar Brera is not just a café: it is an urban living room, a space for dialogue, and a hub of ideas. Between a coffee and a toast, achievements are celebrated, projects are discussed, and relationships are built. Here, art simply happens.
“Baraonda” represents yet another chapter in a well-established partnership between the bar and the Brera Academy of Fine Arts. Following the success of the “Panettone dell’Arte”, a Christmas initiative that rewarded the best artistic packaging for the traditional dessert, this new opportunity confirms the desire to bring together local identity and artistic education in a participatory and contemporary way.
A week dedicated to sharing, fresh perspectives, and an art form that becomes a collective narrative, in one of the most authentic and lively places in Brera.
Prof. Dany Vescovi guided the students of the Visual Arts Department who took part in the project: Monica Sori, Anastasiya Lobanova, Valentina Schito, Valentina Macrì, Massimo Pugliese, Giulia Senn, Silvia Vesco, Alberto Lauretta, Qiuchen Li, Silvia Trampus, Chiara Orsenigo Marzorati, Camilla Trumellini, Elisa Dell’Era, Davide Saibene, Valeria Tripadus, Lara Pauk, Alice Zeni, Diana Lupascu, Elisa Pini, Mattia Fusi, Koorosh Saberi, Giorgia Massacesi, Matilde Verganti, Monica Cecconello, Seyed Masoud Zeynalabedin Nazari, Matteo Casentini, Gherardo Quadrio Curzio, Beatrice Peerik Meloni, Joaquin Ybarra, Adriano Bassi, Linda Picoco.
Join “Baraonda” from June 9 to 16 at Bar Brera, Via Brera 23, Milan.
